One addiction for another
I recently began playing Tribal Wars. I have to admit that it's fun, although a very simple MMO. More fun since there's a whole group of us playing, I'm not sure I'd play it if I didn't have friends also playing it (and not just online friends). But it's starting to take up too much of my time. And it's not even "active gaming". Mostly I seem to be thinking about what to build or raid next, or when is that raid coming back. I'm afraid when it comes to gaming, I'm a sucker for the addictive side of these persistent world games. On the bright side, I seem to have definitely kicked my Warcraft habit.

LOL.... Actually, I dropped WoW because I was dreading grinding to 70 and guild raids were just taking too much of my time. I had been happily living life again when Tribal Wars came up... along with a all too familiar sense of obsession. Now... if the Tribe went back to WoW....hmmmm
yeah its interesting... i'm not much of a gamer and i actually don't spend too much time on tribe... but i guess it is a little addictive..i spend time before work, then after work, then before i run, then after i run, then after dinner, then before i go to sleep; add up the time and i'd say i spend about 1-2 hours a day on it...
that being said, i think i want to get strong enough to fully attack someone, piss them off and then demolish all my buildings (you can do that when you reach lv. 15 village hq)... then when they attack me i will have nothing...
haha, it would be funny if we found the strongest person on the continent and have everyone in our tribe send our troops at him/her...
From what I've heard and I am relieved as well is that you no longer need to raid in order to get nice gear. So I am done raiding for the rest of my life! This is perfect b/c I looooove PVP. I will start playing again after I get married. Too much wedding stuff to do for now. Fiance is 70 already. I am 64 still.
